I am actually finding myself agree with the Shiek in part... the multinational corporation is not out to make life better but to make life profitable for share holders.
Fordham is brewed in Annapolis MD and even Dover, DE and there have been a few of their seasonal ales that I enjoy.
I know Dogfish Head is the popular pick but I have never had a beer of theirs that I would order twice. They have also branched out into making vodka. They need to focus on one thing and do it well.

Now some would just call this the realization of a true global economy. People can buy and sell from all over the world with a touch of a few keys and goods can be delivered overnight. This would be the case if, in fact, the world got along and truly cared about each other. The cold hard truth is that there is too much religous zealotry in the world preventing genuine global peace and unification. What it realy boils down to is money, cold hard cash. The golden parachute crowd is only out for one thing....cash in their pockets. It does not matter how many of the little guys get put out as long as they get their money for selling out the company.

Buy American is a good thing but sometimes the cost of American can be a roadblock for people on a tight budget. This now brings us into the realm of labor unions and governmental regulations...........

But, back to beer. I am all for buying American beer and I am quite fond of Yuengling Porter. There are also many smaller breweries throughout the country that we can support such as Dogfish Head and Fordham. All those Bubbas drinking Bud will never admit that their "American made" is not. With labor day approaching I am going to do the patriotic thing and drink as much Yuengling as humanly possible in order to support the American worker.

(I realy think Big D. is hoping to get a few complimentary beverages for plugging Yuengling......)
